Editor's note: I got a nice note from Marjorie Rommel, who was a featured reader here a while back. Marjorie hosts a poetry reading in Auburn, the details below. We'll keep you posted on the Poets on the Farm event as we get closer to August. She's also planning on bringing up a cavern of Auburn poets soon this summer to read at our community mic. Will be fun! )
If your lot is interested in OUR community mic (love that term, so much nicer, more inclusive than “open” mic), it happens – along with featured readers -- at the Rainbow Café on Main Street in beautiful downtown Auburn every first Monday, 7 p.m.
ALSO, on August 25, 1-4 p.m., Northwest Renaissance Poets presents POETS ON THE FARM, with goodies and such, along with poetry and music under the apple trees in the orchard- – all FREE! More information to come, closer to the date. Oh yeah, and there are animals, a vintage barn, a renovated vintage farmhouse, a weaver’s cottage – and when it comes to the animals, well, the donkeys and the hens usually manage to get in their own two cents.
We’d LOVE to see you!
Marjorie
