Arleen Williams is a novelist, memoirist, and co-author of a dozen short novels in easy English for adults. She enjoys writing about cross-cultural friendships, family, and redemption while setting her stories in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. When not putting pen to paper, Arleen teaches English as a Second Language at South Seattle College where she has worked with immigrants and refugees for three decades. Sierra Golden is a poet and writer living in Seattle. Her chapbook Aristotle's Lantern won the Rane Arroyo Chapbook Prize, and her poems appear in literary journals such as Prairie Schooner, Permafrost, and Ploughshares. Although she calls Ballard home, Golden has spent many summers in Alaska, working as a commercial fisherman.
